South Essex Golf Centre lies mainly facing south and basks in the southern sunshine. The panoramic views over the Thames Valley and into Kent are truly magnificent.
The three 9 hole courses have been designed with spaciousness and nature in mind and have been blended into the established gently rolling landscape. Varying the mix of course can give some interesting combinations. Every hole is completely different offering its own individual beauty, interest and challenge.
The 1st hole on the Heron offers a welcoming start to your round, a 577 yard par 5 can be reached in 2 shots, although beware because the green is protected by 3 greenside bunkers to trip you up. The 6th is a 369 yard par 4, which slopes steeply towards the green and can be attacked off the tee to leave you a short chip shot onto the green.
The 8th is a favourite with many visitors to the course. A 190 yard par 3 with wind usually into your face provides a real test of your nerve.
The Golf shop is open 7 days a week and offers a full range of golfing products. The teaching at South Essex is undertaken by Kevin Merry who has over 20 years teaching experience.

Directions
Leave the M25 at Junction 29 and take the A127 towards Southend-on-Sea. Turn off at the Halfway House exit onto the A128 to Brentwood. South Essex Golf Centre is a few hundred yards on the right.
