Noted for being the oldest golf club in Nottingham, golf has been played at Bulwell Park since the 1870's, although the club has only existed in its present state since 1902. Set on mature heathland, it is noted for it's undulating landscape and has many tight fairways and old trees. Five demanding par 3's increase the challenge of playing the course. It's not a long course - measuring 5,698 yards from the White tees - but it still provides a challenge for even the most competent of golfers.

Bulwell Forest Golf Club celebrated its centenary in 2002 and until recently was a municipal club; but in 2005 the Club negotiated a long-term agreement with the City Council. The Club now has full responsibility for upkeep and improvements and the county's most historic course has a bright future.

The Pro shop is well stocked with leading brands. Tuition is also offered and lessons are competitively priced. There is also a repair and custom-fitting service.
